Suggested order = the larger of (monthly sales × (lead + cover) − on hand)
and (minimum stock − on hand), rounded up.
The On hand column already includes goods in transit, so nothing gets ordered twice.
Min stock is the level a slow mover must always keep — the customer asks, you have it,
and they do not go looking somewhere else.
The pallets-per-container figure is worked out from the container and pallet sizes; override it
if reality differs. Heavy goods — fish sauce, soy sauce, beans — usually
hit the weight limit before they run out of space, which is why both bars are here.
Two different pallet heights: pallets loaded in Vietnam are stacked as high as the
container allows, to use the space — that is the number on this page. Back in Canada everything is
restacked down to 2 m to fit the pickup truck used for deliveries — that height lives on the
Pick Orders page, which re-plans the pallets for each customer order.
